Caller Workshop: Calling for Contra Dances
Calling all aspiring callers! We’re hosting a special event to strengthen the foundation of our Los Angeles musician community. Nationally recognized caller Chris Page will teach a workshop on calling for contra dances. Learn what it takes to teach and call an individual dance. Whether you are brand new to calling, or have some practice under your belt, we want you to join us! Altadena Community Church 943 E Altadena Dr Altadena, CA 91001 The workshop is $10 (pay-what-you-can), and all workshop attendees get free admission to the contra dance that immediately follows the workshop. See details for the dance on our website or on facebook. Workshop: 12:15pm Contra Lesson: 2:00pm Contra Dance: 2:30pm – 5:30pm All skill levels welcome and encouraged! The safety of our community is important to us. For our dances we require all participants to be fully vaccinated, have either a booster or a negative rapid test, stay masked while indoors (no cloth or surgical masks permitted), and sign our waivers.
