If you’ve ever enjoyed crisp calling and layered instruments at a contra dance and thanked the sound engineer.. Or if you’ve ever looked at the pile of wires and speakers on stage and wondered what they are all for.. We have a workshop for you! We’re hosting a special event to strengthen the foundation of our Los Angeles musician community. Scott Arfin will teach a workshop on running sound for contra dances. Topics include common equipment, how to set up mics and speakers, setting levels on a sound board, a live demo tuning levels for a musician, and more. Whether you have experience with audio equipment or not, we want you to join us. All skill levels welcome and encouraged.
