LDDA 2018 General Info

Dates: August 31 - September 3, 2018 - Registration Opens April 1.


Registration Notes: 

Registration may be determined by lottery of all registrations postmarked by June 30.  Registration continues after that if the camp is not full.  Cancellations will receive full refunds less $20 until August 21.  Cancellations after August 21  will forfeit their registration fee unless we can fill the spot.

If you are flying in, note that on your registration and you will be guaranteed a spot if you get it in by the early-bird deadline, June 30.

Non-dancing friends or partners are welcome and pay a discounted rate. They can hike, read or play games on the front porch, and enjoy the non-dance activities and meals, as well as bask in the beautiful setting.


All Meals from Saturday breakfast through Monday lunch are included in your registration. Dinner at camp is available on Friday for $12.00 per person. A variety of snacks will be available throughout the weekend. Protein-rich vegetarian alternatives will be available for all meals.



Each cabin has a bathroom and shower. There is space for tents and RV parking (both with shower privileges in a nearby cabin).

Your choice of same-gender or mixed-gender cabin.

A limited number of private rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis for an extra $120 per couple ($60 per registration) ~ DOUBLE-OCCUPANCY ONLY!

Linen Service:

The camp has Linens available to rent.  Each set includes:  pillow, sheets, towel, wash cloth, blanket and bedspread. 

Rent per set is $20, payable at camp.

Welcome and Inclusive Space for All!

LDDA is a non-gender balanced event.  "Dance with who's comin' atcha!"

We strive to create a camp community that is welcoming, inclusive, and safe for all dancers.  Both gendered and non-gendered accommodations are provided.

We encourage campers to dance any role, with any partner they choose.  Our goal is to foster an environment where dancers are comfortable both in asking for a dance and in declining one.  Ask partners kindly, and accept their answers graciously.​

Evening Dances (open to public):

Evening Dances (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) will be OPEN to the PUBLIC, space allowing, at $25 each evening.


Scholarships and the Scholarship Fund:

There are a very limited number of work scholarships, with up to $100 off the registration fee, intended to make participation possible for those with financial hardships. Email Dan at LaborDayDance@gmail.com for scholarship requests.



The LDDA Raffle helps raise money to support this wonderful dance weekend.

Popular raffle items include handicrafts or artwork, musical instruments, jewelry, dance shoes and accessories, new CD's, homemade foodstuff, gift baskets, outdoor gear, tools, free or discount admission to a contra dance weekend, etc.

We need YOUR help to make it a success.  Please think about what you might have that others may want to win.
