LDDA 2017 General Info

Dates: Sept. 1 - Sept. 4, 2017 - Registration OPENS APRIL 1

Theater manager Dan Vilter will hang stage drapes made of echo dampening fabric in the dance hall in order to ensure the clarity of the caller and the music.

Food:

All Meals from Saturday breakfast through Monday Lunch are included in your registration. Dinner at camp is available on Friday for $10.00 per person. Healthy, yummy, high-energy snacks will be available on a constant basis throughout the weekend. Protein-rich vegetarian alternatives will be available for all meals.

Housing:

Each cabin has a bathroom and shower. There is space for tents and RV parking (both with shower privileges in a nearby cabin). A limited number of private rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis for an extra $120 per couple ($60 per registration) ~ DOUBLE-OCCUPANCY ONLY!

Transportation:

If you NEED a ride or can OFFER a ride, please contact our carpool coordinator Louise at LaborDayDance@gmail.com

If you are flying in, note that on your registration and you will be guaranteed a spot if you get it in by the early-bird deadline, June 15.

For those in need, Register NOW with a $50 DEPOSIT to hold a spot.  Make 3 payments, the last due by August 15, 2017

*  Note that if you are under age 33 and you receive a work scholarship, you can attend LDDA for $185, half the regular price.

 

Evening Dances (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) will be OPEN to the PUBLIC at $15 each evening

Non-dancing friends or partners are welcome but must pay the full price for their age group and registration date.  They can hike, read or play games on the front porch, and enjoy the non-dance activities and meals, as well as bask in the beautiful setting. 

Registration will be determined by lottery of all registrations postmarked by June 15.  Registration continues after that if the camp is not full.  Cancellations will receive full refunds less $20 until August 3.  Refunds of 50% will be granted August 4 through August 21.  Cancellations after August 21  will forfeit their registration fee unless we can fill the spot.

 

Scholarships and the scholarship fund:

There are a very limited number of work scholarships, with $100 off the registration fee, intended to make participation possible for those with financial hardships. Email Nancy at LaborDayDance@gmail.com to make arrangements.
